The Advanced Pistol Clinic is a demanding 4 hour clinic on shooting at a high level, with a focus on decision making while using a firearm. This is a challenging class and is physically and mentally demanding. It will focus on how to build skills and decision making to be successful in any shooting environment.

This course is open to any RPAL holding individual with intermediate or higher prior firearms qualification. 

This focuses on movement, decision making and partner work and introduces previous skills in new contexts including linear movement.

Some skills we will teach and focus on:

– Building skills in shooting with movement and background considerations;

– Lateral / angled movement: fluidity and skills;

– Shooting speed vs movement speed, multiple target engagements and situational awareness;

– Moving, shooting and communicating with a partner in a complex environment;

Some skills you want to have prior to the course:

– Intermediate level training is required 

– Holster qualification and intermediate level of training (Pistol 2/Intermediate or higher)

– Drawing with efficiency and consistency

– Shooting from the holster with consistency

– Be able to look around without moving the muzzle from a safe direction

– Have safe handling while moving with a loaded firearm

Equipment required:

– Semi-auto pistol with accompanying holster

– 400 rounds of ammunition

– 3 magazines minimum

– Eye and ear protection
