Basic Rifle – Silverdale Gun Club – Sunday, July 21st, 2024

• Timings: 10 am- 6pm – Sunday, July 21st, 2024

ONLY 8 POSITIONS PER CLASS – small class sizes mean you get more instructor attention and a better understanding of your personal skills as a result.

The Basic Rifle course is a live-fire foundational course for shooters to develop consistent rifle skills. This course will be taught in a blended online delivery method, with both remote virtual components and in-person live components. Total time required will be 8 hours.

Note you can bring any restricted or non-restricted rifle on this course. Do not bring anything currently on this list: https://www.publicsafety.gc.ca/cnt/cntrng-crm/frrms/paf-afa-en.aspx.

Teaching points include:

-Principles of safety and marksmanship

-Speed and Accuracy

-Shooting in standing, kneeling and prone positions

-Malfunctions and immediate actions

-Cleaning and maintenance, intro to optics and gear.

Upon successful completion, students will be eligible to attend Intermediate Rifle.

Ammunition not included. Ammunition may be available for purchase at the range. We strongly recommend you arrive with the required ammunition.

No hand-loaded ammunition permitted on our courses.
