The Tactical Pistol Clinic  is a clinic on improving movement and decision making skills in an armed professional context. This is a physically challenging class focusing on improving each student to their next level. It will focus on the most statistically common pistol engagements for law enforcement in North America and how to build on existing skills and decision making to be successful.

This course is open to Law Enforcement, Military and approved Security only.

This focuses on the basic principles and techniques for room entries, decision making and partner work and introduces previous skills in new contexts including linear movement.

Some skills we will teach and focus on:

– Building decision making and movement skills with partner considerations;

– Processing & identifying shoot/no-shoot targets;

– Multiple target engagements and situational awareness – breaking tunnel vision;

– Moving, shooting and communicating with a partner in a complex environment;

Some skills you want to have prior to the course:

– Intermediate level training is a prerequisite

– Holster qualification and intermediate level of training (Pistol 2/Intermediate or higher)

– Drawing with efficiency and consistency

– Shooting from the holster with consistency

– Be able to look around without moving the muzzle from a safe direction

– Have safe handling while moving with a loaded firearm

Equipment required:

– Duty or defensive type semi-auto pistol with accompanying holster with retention (bring what you use at work, ideally)

– 400 rounds of ammunition

– 3 magazines minimum

– Eye and ear protection

– Bring snacks, a lunch and 2L of water
